Bagpipes may easily be added to any Scottish or non-Scottish wedding. They are most often used to greet guests as they arrive to the wedding, however, it is not uncommon for them to be used throughout the service also. It is usually best to speak with your wedding coordinator to make sure they are used appropriately for your wedding if you do decide to use them during the wedding service. Music selection is mostly limited to Celtic music, however, individuals will still often request the "wedding march" to be played. Unfortunately, the bagpipes do not use a western scale and is not capable of playing some of the notes required for this song. "Highland Cathedral" is more frequently used in place of the wedding march during wedding services as an alternative. Funerals
There is no better way to honor a loved one than by a beautifully played "Amazing Grace" during a service. The bagpipes may also be used to welcome guests as they arrive to the service in order to help set a particular mood. Bagpipes are sometimes used during portions of a service, however, it is strongly recommended to speak with the funeral director first. Great difficulties can arise when there are miscommunications between the performer and director. Special Events
In additional to the more traditional settings, the bagpipes may be used for birthdays, anniversaries, and various social events. I am very flexible and am able to accommodate most individuals for nearly any situation. Community services may be granted for a nominal (if any) fee depending on the event.
